Gene expression search

This tool allows to select genes based on their expression level in human tissues.

* Define the RPKM or Z-Score cutoff corresponding to the tissue of interest. a RPKM>0 (>2 to avoid noise) and a Z score>=5 indicates that the gene is expressed in that tissue

* Use the DELTA filters (using the radio buttons and the lower panel) to find genes differentially expressed in 2 different tissues or conditions (eg. WT Vs Cancer).

* Patterns corresponding to your query are marked in blue.

Note:
RPKM= No.of Mapped reads/ length of transcript in kb/ total no.of reads in million

Select tissues and define corresponding RPKM / Z-Score cutoff
A Z-Score >= 5 or a RPKM > 0 indicates that the gene is likely to be expressed in the tissue.
